You will have to queue for some time if your arrival time is during Peak trekking and travelling season in Nepal. You can also fill form at Kiosk machine at airport, if you want to avoid long queue.

The documents needed to apply for Visa

You need various documents to apply for On Arrival Visa upon your arrival at Nepal. You will need following verified documents to obtain the Visa.

  • A Valid Passport.
  • Filled Visa Application form.
  • 2 Passport sized recent photos.
  • Required Visa Fee.

Fees for On Arrival Visa

You can obtain these three types of Nepal Entry Visa at your Entry Point:

  • 15 Days- 30 USD
  • 30 Days- 50 USD
  • 90 Days- 125 USD

You are advised to carry cash while obtaining the visa, as it is quick and hassle free. If you want to extend your visa, it can be extended up to 150 days in a year. Cost for visa extension may vary according to your extension days. It will cost minimum of USD 45 if visa extension is only for 15 days. Similarly, it will cost USD 3 each day if visa extension is more than 15 days. Lastly, it will cost USD 5 per day if visa extension is more than 90 and less than 150 days.
